KidStage® is a national after school drama program with instruction in acting, theatre activities and performance opportunities for kids of all ages. The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice, theatre terminology and more. Each class closes with a performance. This season’s production is Toys!
What happens when the playroom door closes? Join all your favorite toys from the Army Men to the Potato Heads and find out what goes on when your child leaves their toys to their own devices. Follow Sally, the vintage cowgirl, as she comes face to face with the newest, most technologically advanced toy, Sammy Spaceman. Consumed with jealousy, Sally and her pals do everything they can to ditch Sammy only to realize that the only way they can get back home is if they work together. A story of trust, friendship and camaraderie, TOYS! teaches the importance of working as an ensemble and supporting each other onstage and off!
The final performance is Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. (rehearsal at 4:30 p.m.) for the Wednesday program or Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. (rehearsal at 4:30 p.m.) for the Thursday program. All performances take place at the Castle Rock Middle School stage.
